HARMAN REP QUESTION ON HARMAN STOVES AVAILABILITY?

Harmon was bought by Quadra Fire last Oct. The factory was shut down to do retooling and make the operation more efficient. No shipments for over 6 weeks, you will get your stove, but its gonna be a while..........Sept I would guess

I heard from two different dealers that Harman was overloaded with orders and some were extremely large by a select few dealers. Harman, in order to be fair to its dealers, told them they would allocate 110% of the average of the three previous years (I believe) monthly orders, thus dealers couldn't go from 20 orders in September 2007 to 100 for this coming Sept. One of the issues, however, is what will be the mix of models that they will be allocated. Both dealers were waiting to hear more two weeks ago when I visited their shops.

Interesting. I had heard one dealer boast of how he placed such a huge order of stoves. Now maybe I know what he may not be able to fill some of his orders.

Sounds like a decent approach to not screwing over the little guy too.

I just talked to my dealer yesterday. I ordered a P68 at the beginning of June and was sent an 8-19-08 installation date. I was kind of hesitant to believe that because of the amount of stoves that have been ordered. The dealer told me that they should be getting an update from Harman either this week or next. But, the good news for me is, I'm the first on the list for a P68 from this dealer.

Northern Lights in Farmington said that they would be getting an update from Harmon this week.

We ordered ours (P61A) about 4 weeks ago.
Oil prices still going up up up! $4.70!!
Got a call that our 5 tons of pellets will be available for pickup the 1st week of August.
Looks like things are falling into place.

I wonder if this big rush for wood / pellets will have much effect on the oil market... :-/

I just had my Harman Accentra installed last Thursday. The dealer said they will not get their order until March. They hope it will be sooner, but not sure. They are selling 8-10 stoves a day. They carry Quadrafire and various wood and gas stoves. Anything that gives heat off is selling fast. Did you notice oil dropped $9.00 a barrel over the last two days, maybe a good sign!!
