Heres my delivery of 4 tons today. Pellets came from Dysarts and I waited 2 weeks in line for them. I would have waited longer but I wanted the 1 ton sacks instead of the bags.

This last one shows how they are sealed on top:

"How many bags of pellets does it take to heat your house?"

"Just four."

This is my first year and I'm hoping to cut my oil in half so I figured 4 was a good start. My house is about 1500 sqft. so I figure my first year will be a trial and error year.

I tried to get some pellets from Dysarts the other day and they said they will not be taking any more orders because they are so backed up. The girl said to try back in a couple of months.

why one big bag for a ton ?

how do u get the pellets out of the bag without spillage??

Are they one big bag?
NJ with 1600 sq ft, ranch, 12" roof insulation way back when, I use 2 tons, (just got them at $540 for 2 tons delivered and stacked)
You will be the envy when the neighbors get their new heat estimate ! !
I have a furnce for my HW baseboard that heats my water. 200 gal a year (that's one full year)
Furnace is in crawl space so that stays 40 - 50 degrees so my floor is warm. Basically heats my HW.
We need a National movement away from home heating oil. I bet your neighbors will be asking questions in Nov.

DO THEY TAKE A DEPOSIT & ARE RECYCLABLE FOR PELLET PURPOSES?
Yes there is a $15.00 deposit on the bags. You can bring the bags back or the driver will pick them up when he delivers again. I wont have to put down a deposit next time, unless I get more then 4 tons.

Driver told me he was 1000 tons behind.

Cheaper, first off, second, my wife has a hard enough time with the 40lbs bag of kitty litter. This way she can carry a what she wants and my daughter can carry a bucket too. They can choose the weight.

The last photo shows the top, it just cinches up. Open and scoop what you want. The sack is very stable, your not going push it over.
