I'm new to this forum and to buying pellets. Back in May I placed a phone order with New England Pellet LLC in Suffield, CT for $205 per ton delivered. I gave the lady I talked to my credit card number and address. I never received a confirmation in the mail as promised. I've had a hard time contacting anyone on the phone who can confirm that my order is in the works. Has anyone else out there received a confirmation of their order or received their pellets yet? I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling that my order is really going to be delivered.

O.k. Here's what I know. I (like so many others) orderd my pellets in early May. The lady on the phone said I would be contacted in a couple weeks by the delivery driver. Did not hear from them at all. No confirmation letter or anything. Started calling in late June, (answering machine with full mailbox), and sending e-mails. I did get a return call, however it was to my voicemail, and could not get a hold of them after that. A coworker ran into a guy from Chicopee, Mass. who works (delivers) for them. I got his phone number, had to leave a messege. He called me back, and I told him about my situation and that I wasn't even sure I was on the list, didn't want to lose out on actually getting pellets this summer and could he find out what was up. He was very helpful, and infact did find my name on the list, and that my confirmation letter would be going out, and that they were just so overwhelmed with orders, that they were just way, way behind. He said they have over 25,000 tons to deliver right now!!! 600 tons in my town alone!!! They will be bringing partial deliveries first so that you have pellets to start off the season, and will deliver the remainder in Oct. or Nov. .
So, now it's been another 2 weeks, and I have heard nothing. If I actually get any pellets, I'll post here.

Depending on their delivery capacity, you would think they would stop taking orders until they are caught up. Bad first impressions generally don't lead to repeat business.

Would he be willing to check on other orders (like mine?). I'm in the same situation, ordered a trailerload in mid_may....

I decided to buy my pellets at a local business. The price is higher, but I've got 1-1/2 tons today and another 1-1/2 tons coming next week. He's letting me pay for one ton in July, one in August and one in September. I've called New England Pellet and left a message to cancel my order. Also, followed up with a certified letter in case they decide to charge my credit card tomorrow. I feel secure now that I'm prepared for the winter season. I don't know what the profit margin is on pellet sales but you'd think that a company could hire someone to enter orders into a database that could be easily searched so that phone queries could be answered quickly. Oh well, I've vented too much!

Web (or a mod),

Could you please move merge this thread with the other so we can keep all this info together?

Thanks.
