I presently have 2 plus cords ready to burn for my new stove that i cut from my land.With my new wood shed just built i have just started looking for extra wood to buy (two cords)to place in the new shed.Have found one seller offering seasoned wood (oak and other hard wood)for $130 a half cord delivered.Does this seem like a fair price?i know wood has gone up with the demand.He delivers half a cord at a time.
 
SJ, that price does not seem to be too far out of line. Most people are still selling for approx. $225 a cord here in the Litchfield county area. Make sure there are no delivery charges added and you should be ok if it is truely seasoned hardwood. I sure the prices will be increasing around here soon!
 
sounds good to me.i heard some folks are getting $150 a face cord. already.with gas prices like this,i won't sell mine that cheap.
 
Just put a order in for a cord of seasoned oak at $195 including delivery.He will be getting back to me and setting a date in a week or so.If the cord looks good then i will be ordering more!he says he has plenty.
 
Stan Try Bill Dexter up in Danielson. 860-680-1278 I just got a cord from him for $180. It was a good full cord, good size and very uniform length.

Cut, split, delivered. Low of 18% high of 34%, mostly around 24-25%
