I've had one for three seasons now and love it. I thought it used more wood than my VC defiant but when I used each independently and kept track of split usage they were pretty much the same. As has been mentioned on here before, a lot depends on how you build and care for the fire as well as how dry your wood is when used. I would buy it again. I use about four cords yearly between the two stoves.
