I had to trim down the 6" poly brush a little bit to clean my 6" flex liner (installed in an exterior brick chimney). After that the cleaning was a snap. Last year was my first year burning and at times I had some suspect wood, but I only got about a gallon and half of fine dust after all said and done. Question - I noticed some light rusting inside the stove - is this normal or should I be worried about moisture getting inside?

Light rusting on the inside of the stove should not pose a problem for years to come. Pretty normal.
A gallon and a half?? Sounds like quite a bit to me. Maybe this year with better firewood (you did claim some questionable wood from last year) you will be able to cut that down. At least it was the fine, powdery stuff.

A chunk of metal sitting in the air with a pipe leading outside all summer, water from combustion as well as wood moisture, plus heat from the fire- you should expect a little rust. A little rust is not a big deal, and often self limiting. The outside layer of rust slows the access of water and air to the bulk metal- so don't bother scraping it off in there.
I think you're in good shape. I play a bit of a game trying to get the least creosote dust that I can- it makes me think about dry wood a bit more.

Thanks I figured the rusting wasn't a big deal.
