Found someone who is selling them for a "song".
Been a lot of talk about honoring warranties & such as a result of CFM fallout.
I believe these were mfg'd during the CFM reign.

Avoid ???

Thanks for your input....

I saw them being sold on ebay NIB for cheap. Just make sure they aren't damaged. I knew one guy on ebay who was buying freight damaged VC stoves, refurbishing them, and selling them on ebay as new.

As far as the warranty goes, I've been using wood stoves for over 18 years and never had one fail. I'm very careful about how I burn. You won't see me having to dry my wood out by the fire before it gets used. I noticed it is these guys that have problems. So, I would take the risk of having a stove without a warranty.

Thanks for the response, I'll check into the freight damage issue.
Do you own a V/C stove?? This is a bit of a jump for me.....

I suspect that these stoves would be without warranty, maybe dealer clearance of pre-2008 stoves? Although not so much an issue with some stoves, VC replacement parts are expensive. With the possibility of bad enameling, cracked refractory, etc. I'd want a warranty on these stoves unless they're cheap.
