Breckwell Big E owners

No , I ran mine on #3 manual and got my 700 SQ FT to about 100. Almost killed me with sooo much heat . I would hate to be in my house with mine on #5 or #4 . I think it stresses the steel , that is why they don't recommend running it on #5.

The hottest pellets I have burned in my big e burn hotter on #4 than all other brands on #5. Common sense tells me that average pellets would be safe to burn for longer periods on #5, but fear keeps me from trying. On the coldest nights in western ny, #5 sure would be nice. I imagine if there was a problem, the high temp themodisk would shut the stove down. Still scared. Manual says not to.

First overnight burn of the year for me. 43 degrees and rainy right now. Stove sure feels nice

its not recommended to run the stove on 5 for more than 2 hours, there is a high temp thermodisc and it will shut the stove down if it gets too hot but that wont stop it from warpage or any type of defect to the steel. However we have heard of people who run there stove on 5 24 hours a day 7 days a week and dont have any problems, besides being reallly hot. but i wouldnt suggest you run your stove on 5 for more that 2 hours tops

I tried mine on 5 for about 45 minutes and it shut down, its was about 45 degrees out. On a side note, it took the downstairs from 65 to 90 (about 70 sq. feet).

My, that is a SMALL downstairs.....I would think that stove should have had you to at least 120. :lol:

I have had my stove on #5 for about two hours with no problems.i do run my Big E on #4 when i run it.

If you run the Big e on a #5 setting will over heat the thermo disk and shut the stove down. I ran our Big E for 4 hours in our showroom and had no problem but dont advise doing it long.

Good Question. i would like to know this also.

I'm sure 55k input BTU's is on the #5 setting. I like the stove a lot, but it is kinda false advertising to say its a 55k BTU stove.

This is what i thought after reading the manual.if its true it is false
