Brothers and sisters, I finaly have a few pics of the chicken roaster oven from the book 'The Country Journal Woodburners Cookbook', that I made. The white lid on the top covers holes used for lowering or raising the inside temp. My dutch oven is also there which the book tells you how to properly use as an oven. I love my stove

Looks like a verry yummy way to cook dinner

Thats a cast iron steamer that I put potpourri liquid with water in for some nice smellin stuff in the house.

ST,

From the pics your floor looks like a nice gray carpet! Or is it cement?

It is cement that we just recently painted and my wife stencilled pine branches and cones where the cement rises to the walls.

Very nice!

looks cool! I wanna try that.

your handle position (closed) on your quad is different from mine.

That is so cool, thanks for the pics! The stove, the oven, the dutch oven, the steamer, the contented and warm whippet!

Today we stopped into a sporting goods store and took a look at the Coleman oven. A sort of cheap-looking thing but I picture it working, and working well! Didn't buy it yet, but probably will at some point. First I've got to figure out dutch oven cooking, then I'll expand :)

Thanks for sharing your pics! I'm really impressed with your turkey roaster conversion :)

Stove Nut that looks like a very clean way to cook on a stove can't wait to show my wife. Thanks so much for sharing.

I almost bought that same Coleman oven for my wife, now aint that romantic! I bought my book on e-bay. If you put in "wood stoves" for the search it will bring up tons of great stuff. You can also get it through inter library loan from your local library or go on line to cwmars, thats the inter library loan site. The book is "The Country Journal Woodburners Cookbook" by Janet Bachand Chadwick. So far thats the one that I found that will show you how to cook on a regular wood burning stove and not a wood burning kitchen stove like a Glenwood. You can find that Coleman oven at Walmart I believe.

Your log rack is empty. Let her know after she brings your dinner. lol !

I just looked at the photo in your profile. Did you rig a chop saw to that lawn tractor ? If so, does it work okay ?
I've got an 18hp MTD with deck problems just sitting here waiting for a chore.

Its actually a big buzz saw that was home made hooked up to my dads lawn tracter for the power and it works great! My Dad and I have cut a bunch of wood with it that was too long for the firebox.
