What is the best way to get replacement gaskets of my Vermont Castings Resolute. This is the older style double front door with glass. Should I just pull them off and bring them into a shop? I was hoping I could go to a shop with the sizes and lengths to purchase them. Right now the stove works fine, but is due for new gaskets. I am afraid if I take them off and damage them in the process I can't reinstall them if I'm unable to find replacements. I know eventually I would find a shop with them, but then the stove is down till I find them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Mike

You could bring the doors and top griddle into the shop. They'll probably do the job for you.

That's a good thought. At least then I'd know if they have the correct size gaskets for those parts. Then I just have to worry about the top one (there is a top griddle for top loading).

Thanks,

-Mike

I just did my older resolute and the dealer had a kit with all the correct sizes, I have to say I'm getting a better burn with the new gaskets.

You can also buy gasket by the foot online from Mcmaster Carr.
