I just finished installing my Enviro Milan insert. It was the perfect stove for the size of the fireplace and hearth.
I have been adjusting the damper to set the burn rate. The flames will surge up and down. At some points the flames are low and then they build up quite a bit. How much of this is normal or should the flames be a constant intensity level? The stove puts out plenty of heat and does not go out, I am just wondering if there is some other setiting I should look at.
The Milan uses room combustion air. I have installed a 4" liner in my flue, that is 21' long.
BTW, I am burning CUBEX pellets. The price here in Ottawa is $250 / Ton delivered.
