1st off, I received this email probably from a forum member, but the email wasn't formatted the way I would normally see it if it came from Hearth.com so I thought I would post it here and then respond.

I am seeing comments by several poster's that Zoobler's is not doing too
well as far as getting stoves to people.
Also, if I am right, thr 110c, in Majolica Brown are $1403/price. Is that
with doors, I hope?
I am not certain that is a great price, as Fireplacehouses in Colorado also
has them for the same price.
Do you mind sharing your experience?

Ordering from Zoobler was fine, they are just very busy with a huge demand. If you are looking for a stove right now, I would check inventory before placing an order. We felt much better ordering from them than we would have with a place like Direct Buy which also carried the same stove. If we had run into issues with backorders or delivery issues Direct Buy would have been a nightmare. Zoobler was great!

We saved over $500 just on the stove alone buying from Zoobler as opposed to Direct Buy, incl. shipping, extra fees, taxes, etc.

We received our door and installed the insert this weekend. Went very smoothly with all the great information that we gleaned from this site.
 
As I read it, no- the 1100C in Mojelica Brown is more- about $300 more. It is the plain black that is $1403.
I do not see any savings in either Zoobler or Obadiah- I went to Billings today (Montana), and went everywhere to look at stoves- they were all the same prices within about $40- I don't know why people are saying they are saving so much money.
 
I just paid $1050 (delivery included) for the black 1100CP at Zoobler. The price they list on the website isn't the "real" price. You need to do their bidding thing ("make us an offer") to get that price though.

BTW - My stove, ordered around 8/31 is sitting at the local freight depot waiting to be delivered. But I appear to be relatively lucky to get it that quickly.

Please- any of you who have bought from Zoobler, please let me know your wood stove prices, so I know what they expect. I don't want to insult them, but I also, don't want to be screwed. Thanks.
 
You don't deal with a person, just a little web app. You put in a bid, it either accepts or not. If not, you can put in a bigger number, and so on. The catch is that if your bid is accepted, you just bought it. So I went there after shopping lots of sites on the web, started really low, and went up by like $10 at a time. I saved about $100 off the next-lowest price.
 
You' saved $100 off the next lowest price'- do you mean the price at Zoobler's was $100 less than another place you visited either in real 'life', or on the computer?
Gee- what if the Zoobler computer has a hangover- it might be a grumpy computer and want more money! (just kidding).
I would like to understand the $100 thing better. Thanks.
 
The lowest advertised price I found was about $1170, at several online retailers. Zoobler's advertised price is higher than that, but the $1050 was the bid their system accepted. I certainly can't guarantee that bid would win today. There are few stove shops around here, all either not close or likely quite overpriced, so I never set foot in one.
 
I ordered my 1402k (black porcelin) May 29 and rec'd it June 29. I paid a little less that $1400. I Just install this weekend (pain in the a%$)and have had a few fire , its excellent!! cranks out the heat. I have an insulated 32' x 6" liner. I had to use an offset adaptor to offset about 2" to mate the collar and liner. Easy to start I and looks nice. My burn time is not really that good. And the blower only kicks on when hot enough. Any suggestions for burn.
 
I am sure you will get some expert advice, but from reading the manual for the 1402, it said that the 1st few fires will be hard to keep going. Not only are you curing the paint but you are also drying out the firebrick. Once these things happen then you should be seeing better results.

We installed our stove this past weekend also. Wasn't that bad. Used an appliance dolly to get it in the house and then just fed the 6" liner down the flue. Our flue is 13 x 13 so that made it pretty easy. We did remove all the bricks which made it about 125 lbs lighter.

The price on the main page of Zoobler isn't the sale price it is more like the retail price. Select the item and then you will see what Zoobler's price is. We did the make an offer and that is how we saved the most. We got the 1402K for around 1,400. You keep bidding until the price is accepted. They aren't going to be giving them away, but you can get it fairly reasonably. Make sure to put the door in your bid if it isn't included with the stove. Be sure to read all the details about Make an Offer before bidding.

But it worked great and we are very happy!
