This is weird the capacity of this stove is supposed to be 81 lbs or 2x 40 lbs bags of pellets, i can only fit about 1 1/2 bags or roughly 60lbs.

What givs?

Anyone else notice this?

Specifications
BTU Input: 14,620 to 60,200
Heating Capacity: 2,400 to 3,800 sq. ft. †
Feed Rate: 1.7 - 7.0 lbs/hour
Hopper Capacity: 81 lbs.
Overall Efficiency: 81.4% - 83.6%
Weight: 425 lbs.

My Lopi Leyden is listed as 50lbs but one 40lb bag fills it up pretty good.

make sure u push the pellets up towards the back of the hopper up high theres alot of space back there.

It is difficult to get the amount said it will hold. I was able to do it once, that is when I first bought it. Had to slowly pour the pellets in the hopper, while pushing them down, then slowly pouring more in, repeat the process, then I found out it was a waste of my time as I didn't go through this many pellots in a day. So I put some in the morning and again in the evening. The longer I have this stove the less I sweat the little things. Just keep it full and let it do its work. Keep up on the maintances etc.

I've only done my initial load of pellets and was able to fit two bags. Had to push them to the back after about 1 1/4 bags to fit the rest in.

I plan to make a hopper extension for my Castille. I'll only use it when needed.....wont use all the time.....but looking to be able to fit a bag and a half to 2 bags in mine. Now I can only fit one bag.

Do think pellet brand and type maybe factor? I can almost fit 2 bags in my Mt vernon, but i do not take the time to spread them out when I pour them in.
