Ok, I have finally decided how to vent my stove in the basement. I was going to horizontal vent, but elected to do another position in the basement that allows for a vertical rise (which may be safer than the horizontal venting at this particular spot). I have most of the clearances met per the Quad manual - will have to "permanently" close windows in the basement near the vent for the winter. But, there's a catch I need some input on: The termination cap of the 60 inch rise (per quad manual) will be approximately 24 inches away from the vent termination opening for my active downward vent system for my Kitchen stove. Obviously, it has louvers, which open when the system is venting the cooking smells/smoke out to the outside. However, should this be considered a potential risk for an entry point of CO from the pellet stove exhaust, due to its proximity?
One more venting question - can I do this?

Can you just go a bit higher to get well above the vent in question and also eliminating the need to permanently close the windows ?
