Sometimes in Vermont
Hello All,
Thank you for all your advice you have been giving me for the last year or so. I must have read a thousand posts. Anyway, I bought a Hearthstone Clydesdale last spring for a vacation property in Vermont that my family uses but we mostly rent out at this time. (The only way I can afford it. In the not too distant future I hope to have it more for myself and our family.)

I had some left wood left from last winter and I bought additional wood last May. I just restacked it closer to the entry to the house with most of it under the extended overhang. I bought a bunch of those Super Cedar firestarters - love them!

I created a video for youtube to teach people how to use it. (I also have a copy on a DVD at the house and laminated instructions near the fireplace tools.) Everyone wants a fire there, and it figure every log they use is a little less oil I pay for. It killed me to have all the heat going up the wide open fireplace all winter. I tried to err on the side of safety instead of maximum heat output.

For now I just have to enjoy the video of the fabulous fire. I thought I would share it with you all too. I am not sure how this works, so I am putting the link and embedding it also, I think

Nice job with the video..... and nice place too!

Lisa, Very nice vid..

I am thinking about getting a clydesdale insert. One parameter I can't find is the length x width x depth of the fire box. Brochure says it will hold a 22 long long, I assume that is width wise or east west across the front. Brochure also says 2.4 Cu Ft but I would love to know the length x width x depth of the firebox. Can you take a quick measurement and let me know?

Thanks,
Peter
