I have a Englander 55-SHP10 that seems to be feeding at the same rate no matter what the setting is (1-9).
I takes approx. 22 seconds for the lower auger to make one complete revolution (too fast?). I have a LUX thermostat connected
correctly to the circuit board in the rear of the stove with the stove settings set to 9/9 as directed by factory manual.
The thermostat is set for the feed speed to reduce at 72 (which it doesn't).
I disconnected the thermostat wires at the thermostat and twisted the two wires together to complete the circuit. I then restarted the stove
and manually adjusted the feed rate on the circuit board and still got the same results (no reduced feed rate).
I've been trying to get through to the factory, but can't due to the busy stove season. In the mean time any ideas?
Thanks

You can email Mike Holton at Englander directly: [email protected]. He's good about getting back to you in a timely manner, and will make sure you get the problem fixed.

The bottom Augar is a constant feed and the top augar controlls feed on most pellet stoves.

sbatzold is correct. The bottom auger speed should remain constant. Although I thought it was 1 RPM when I asked a tech a couple years ago when I asked about greasing (said it doesn't need it due to low RPM). To check if the feed rate is changing when you change settings, put your finger on the end of the auger shaft in the top cutout on the back and see if the running time changes when you change settings on the control board.

OK.....learned something new today, thanks. What I did now is to empty the hopper and watched the upper
auger turn. It still turned the same amount on #1 as it did on #9........is it me?
Also, I tried the suggestion on putting my finger on the auger motor, but could not feel or observe and
motion or turning.
Thanks
Brian

Sounds like it's time to give Englander a call (1-800-245-6489). Have your model number, serial number, and date of manufacture ready. This info is located on the metal plate on the inside of your hopper. How old is your stove?

I've been calling all day (busy), I realize this is their busy season. I purchased all three stoves
in June and installed them about a month ago.
Closing the hopper plate some will reduce the over use of pellets in the mean time.
Thanks all for the suggestions.
