Fired up our stove for the first time on Sunday, since it was only 37F degrees out. It was much easier than I expected to get a nice secondary burn. I'm really liking this (relatively) modern stove. So much easier to use than the ancient wood/coal combo stove we had years ago!

Looks like you will be nice and toasty this winter.

Stove looks great! Excellent fireview, does the glass stay clean?

Good for you. You can spread out there in front of it after a nice breakfast at Parkers!

If I eat at Parker's, "spreading" is definitely what I'll be doing! I've never seen so much food in one breakfast in my life.

Pissa. That is a huge viewing area. Clean glass is a testament to dry wood.

I'm glad to hear that. I got a lot of grief for buying kiln-dried firewood, with people telling me that three days in a 200 degree kiln couldn't possibly produce "seasoned" wood. I figured it had to be better than truly green firewood and it was the same price as green so I bought it anyway. It's been stacked in my yard since late August, and it burns like a dream. Lights right up, no sizzling, burns clean. I'm definitely a fan now.
