I just bought an older Whitfield pellet stove. I'm cleaning it up, and there is some type of insulation inside of it and around where the exhaust vents. What is this insulation called, and where would I get it from?

Thanks for any replies.

That is Rock Wool insulation. I purchased some from one of our local insulation supply companies, but it should be available from stove shops I would expect.

Just a tip, if you're going to handle the stuff, wear long sleeves and gauntlet type gloves

Beautiful stove. I haven't had the opprtunity to work on one of those yet. Good luck with it.
