Calling all folks with 2 stoves

I'm no pro, but from what I read , you should not install these things in a bedroom.

I ran 2 stoves last year. One in a partially finished basement, and one in the main living floor of my home. Best set-up depends on where you are spending the most time. I just sold my Harman (basement stove) because I found that it just wasn't the right solution for that space. As it was turning out, we were not down there very often, and there really was no pattern to when we were spending time down there. Since it takes a while for the stove to heat up we were finding it was best to leave the stove on low 24/7. This worked ok, but it just seemed silly to be burning through a bag of pellets on a day where we were only down there for 10 minutes.

So, I just got done installing electric hydronic baseboard heating down there, attached to thermostats. I'll keep it set to 55 so it'll be off most of teh time. However, if we go down there we will be able to crank it up and it'll get warm quickly. I'm quite sure this is actually going to save me money over the long haul.

Lower Level, and the other is in the garage.

I guess this would depend on your layout of the house and sq footage. I run a wood stove on my living room, pellet stove in kitchen. Yes the kitchen. The kitchen is the most active room in any home. I once had a pellet stove where the wood stove is (longer off topic story).

1 stove is in my kitchen, the kitchen is open to the family room and the game room. We love having the stove in the Kitchen. We have a woodstove in the family room, but the pellet stove in the kitchen is better. The other stove is on the other side of the house and does the living room and the dining room. The living room opens up to the foyer so some of that heat goes upstairs also.
