We ordered a Hearthstone Homestead in July and havent recieved it. The dealer has said it should be here by the 3rd week in November. I understand these stoves are hand made, but 4 months. Tried calling Hearthstone , they said speak to the dealer, the dealer says they spoke to Hearthstone, and because we have gloss black pain they only make those at certain times. iTS GETTING REAL COLD. is any one else waiting for a stove from Hearthstone???????

Are stove manufactures expierienceing such a boon in theis downturned economy.

I waited about three months for my Hearthstone Clydesdale. The dealer explained that it was because they "batch" the special order enamel and make them less frequently. The good news is that they stuck to the delivery date once they set it. So the 3rd week of November is probably a legitimate estimate not just a wild guess.

Hearthstone sent out an email earlier this week saying any Homestead promised to ship Oct 20th through November will be at least another two weeks out. The reason being the copmany that makes the oval to round adaptors they use was having money troubles and could not get the product out. But I did get a stove in for a customer this week that was suppose to be one of the ones pushed back. Go figure!

I pulled the trigger on a clydesdale back on Oct15 and the ship date was set for Nov 10. The dealer said in his experience Hearthstone has been meeting the dates unless its special order or parts shortage issue like your apparently dealing with. I went with the standard flat black versus the blue/black upgrade finish.. So I'm hoping I will have it in 2 weeks time.. I feel like a little kid as Christmas approaches.. It's all I think about as I prepare the fireplace and get ready to install the liners etc..

My Clydesdale was installed Wednesday. It was originally scheduled for October 7 but there was a delay in delivery to the dealer.
It was torture waiting but I'm really enjoying learning what makes my new mistress purr!

Got my Homestead a year ago May. The dealer had some in stock and I was able to take my pick. Have a small fire going as I compose this.

Here's a shot of my first break-in fire from Wednesday. I did two more break-in fires, each larger than the last, and she has now been running 24 hours/day for three days.
Using three small fans to push cooler air toward warmer rooms I've been able to keep the house (single level ranch) at about 66 degrees F with my magnetic thermometer reading 300-400.
I love hearing the blower kick in after my morning reloads and that secondary flame is stunning! There is still a learning curve happening here but so far I am very happy.

We ordered our gloss black Mansfield through a dealer first Monday in August. It arrived there the following week and was installed in mid-Sept. The dealer could have installed just after Labour Day.

My sympathies for your wait...

Hey Oldjamer, Stove looks great!

Can you tell me how deep the firbox is on the Clydesdale? I know it 22x12 LxW but I can't find depth anywhere, I'm wondering what my north/south log loading options will be versus getting the long logs in east/west..

Thanks for you input..

HI STOVE GUY , does the oval to round adapter come with the stove or is it something that has tp be purchased seperatly, i picked up the flex kit from the dealer so i could get a jump on it, but it didnt include the oval to round adapter to connect to the tee,.

Hey Bren582,

I think you answered your own question... the box is apprx 22x12. It is apprx 12" deep, front to back. And actually the width inside the box is probably a bit bigger than 22" in the front of the box. I think the door opening is 22", so in theorey you could fit a 23" log inside (E to W of course). Due to the lack of depth in the box, North to South burning is a bit harder to do, unless you have splits that are fairly small.

Thanks for the confirmation ClydesdaleBurner. Looking at the set of soapstones in the online manual I can see that now. My wood ranges from 12 to 20 so I guess most of my burning will be east/west as was the case when I used the fireplace.

Good luck Stoke.. 4 months.. Wow thats a long time to wait..

My dealer still says all is on schedule, other stoves ordered prior to mine are being delivered from Heathstone and business is good but not out of control compared to last year..

Just measured: width of front door= 22 (firebox=25 an inch or two inside of the door)
width at back=20
height of door=10 5/8
depth=13
