Wood IDs Please

top row appears to be oak, red I believe. second row is for sure sassafras. Third row looks like birch to me.
I agree- the first two look like Oak. I'll take a pass on 3 and 4. #5 looks like birch to me too- those look like yellow belly sap sucker holes to me.

1&2;no clue, but looks like it's starting to rot or get punky
3&4;looks like Bur Oak I have in my yard. Does it smell like Oak?

First two definitely look like oak, then sassafras...#4 unknown...but I think that that the 4th looks more like poplar like quaking aspen.

Next looks like norway maple to me, but I've never cut sassafras so I'm not familiar with it.
No guess on the last one.
