3" air intake for New Englander

It seems like we've discussed this here before so you might want to do a search but since the OAK doesn't get hot I'd think that just about any type of pipe the right size would work if it's kept at a reasonable distance from the exhaust vent. Whatever you use just remember to put some type of grill or screen over the exterior end so that critters don't nest in it.

I think some are getting a auto exhaust adapter 2 in to 3 in.

I purchase a reducer the had at lowe's. It is rubber but it is the really thick stuff for septics,etc. Put clamps on it and your good to go. I was concerned about the part being rubber however, as stated from someone else... "doesn't get hot there" don't forget your elevation might require you to go with a larger diameter OAK.
