Once a season as long as your fire is burning nice and bright and not a sooty, low, orange flame.

once a year is fine with pellets and but if you burn 3 tons or more it is a good idea to clean the horizontal run and or T clean out every 2 tonsslickplant35 said:
if you have a few turns in you pipe it is a good idea not to go more than 2 tons
if you corn or a corn pellet mix then I would clean the pipe every ton and no more than 2 tons
