I am really getting ready to take this thing to the junk yard.

Like i said it is a 2005 englander 25-pi and after about an hour of run time the top auger shuts off for about 10 minutes and then starts back up on its own when the stove has cooled enough.

WHen Magnetic stove temp gauge on top reaches 230 degrees the auger stops. when it gets back to 180 degrees it will start again. The temp gauge is placed On Top of the stove near the center of the front just above the holes the heat blows out of.

Could this be a BAD heat sensor (thermo resistor) DO they ever go Bad?

Or could this be a BAD chip chip in the control board?

Both Auger motors are good as well as the blower motor.
Vacuum switch has been bi-passed

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP

I have six tons of pellets and i really do not want to keep buying fuel OIL

Why do you say both auger motors are good?
Motors on their way out will often cut out for thermal protection - like when they heat up!

At first glance, this sounds like what is happening. Yes, could be other things.......is there any way of you actually checking the current to the auger motor after it stops working? If it has 110, then it is the motor that is broken.

Call ESW. They know their stoves and will help
you troubleshoot. Technical Support Line: (800) 245-6489

I say the motors are good because one is brand new and i have switched motors from top to bottom and the problem is still the same.

Also i have been in communication with Mike for about a week and we still cannot figure it out. Plus with my job i can only really talk in the moring for 45 minutes or for an hour in the evening. Which if you have ever tried to get a hold of their support you spend at the very least 20 minutes on hold.

Thats why i am trying to trouble shoot it here.

I am also open to trades for another insert to someone that me be better than i am trouble shooting these stoves

Are your regular settings for heat range & blower speed set correctly ? The blower speed should always be set equal to or higher than the heat range setting. if the blower is set on a level lower than the heat range, the stove will overheat & the thermal switch will shut down the top auger until the stove cools down, therefore cutting off the supply of pellets to allow for cool down. If you have your settings correct & it still shuts down, you may have a bad temperature switch.

My temp sensor does not look like. MIne just looks like a small 1/2 ceramic resistor screwed to the panel next to the auger

No error codes it just shuts off the top auger and then when it cools down enough it starts the auger back up. Usually around 10 minutes. Put a magnetic temp guage on the front set on in between to of the blower holes up top and when it reads 350 degrees it shuts off and comes back on when it reaches 290 degrees. I have also found that when i run the stove as low as possible 1 feeder 9 for the blower, a bag only last me around 12-14 hours.. IT will still shut off a couple times in that time period. My bottom auger does a full rotation in 40 seconds which i thought it should run 1rpm.
