This will be my 3rd season with this stove and have replaced the lower auger and has been great.
This year I fire it up and it seems to not be pushing out as much air as it use to and now the stove seems to be a lot hotter also.
The motor seems to be running fine and there isn't any noises either, any ideas?
I would hate to spend $150 for new blower for nothing.
I see it is a 140cfm blower and wonder if I can jump that up a little bit and maybe get a 175+ cfm motor???
I usually mix a little corn in once we get in the lower temps but it seems to be getting too hot now.

Settings are as follow:

Heat range at 2
Blower motor 9

Low fuel feed 2
Low burn air 9
Air on 2

25-PDVC 55-SHP10
MFG 09/05

Unless someone at Englander told you to set your "air on" button at 2 I'd guess that's part of your problem. It's my understanding that it should be on 1 for all stoves. The first thing you need to do for a stove that isn't performing is to give it and it's exhaust vent a thorough cleaning. Dirty fan blades or a partially clogged vent could be the problem. Good luck!

I never changed the air on but will set it at 1.
I am going to pull out the stove today and see how things look but I cleaned it and did the yearly maintenance last spring.
Thanks

did you take apart and clean the inside of the combustion blower?

No I have not, and will be pulling out the stove in a few hours.
I am in the middle of installing a new fan to draw heat into another room through a few walls and some 6 inch flex pipe.
Our kitchen get very cold and was using a elec oil heater but want to eliminate that and think this will do the trick, (and some insulation in the floor might help).
Will let you know what I find after it's all apart.

Well, I pulled out the blower motor and the was some dust but very little, our house isn't terribly dusty.
So does anyone know if it is possible to install a larger cfm motor?
I have plenty of heat for sure inside of stove, IMO I think too much as wife said she was smelling a plastic smell last night.
I have a cold so couldn't smell a thing.
LMK if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks

Look at Grainger for a larger replacement blower. Odds are you can find one that will fit, but it may draw too much power and blow your control board.

I smelled the plastic smell last season. Spoke to tech support and he hit it. Mt stove was getting too hot internally and yours may be too if the heat isn't getting blown out. Check the ends of the vacuum hoses especially where the one attaches to the combustion blower, the ones on mine are blue. My problem was excessive feed and the end of the hose was getting too hot and starting to melt and can crack. There should be enough extra to cut off the end and reattach the hose. I put a piece of industrial insulation over the entire hose to protect it. Tho I don't think I'd need it if the stove is functioning properly. You could try leaving the back panel off till you get the blower issue resolved. As another poster suggested, it may be your settings. Let us know.

Well I called up Englander and the Tech guy didn't like my settings and said to try these:

LFF 6
LBA 4
AOT 5 Which I thought was suppose to be 1 if I remember right.
I didn't know about the sliding plate in the hopper so I slid that all the way back to reduce pellet usage, which I was trying to control with the LFF set at 1.

What do you guys think?
I just got it all back together and saw the post about the blue hose err... will check that next time.
But I know there is a problem with there being to much heat in the stove and that was why I wanted to try and put a bigger cfm motor in it.
I haven't had time to check today but will tomorrow if I can find one.

One other thing, does the blower speed (set at 9 ) effect the pellet usage? I had a guy tell me that if I run the blower at 9 even when I have the heat set at 1 or 2 it will use more pellets than if the blower was set at 5. This doesn't make sense to me as it is just the speed of the fan blowing the air out.

Thanks

All these settings confuse me.

air on temp should NEVER be above 1. check the fan itself they do get fouled with dust bunnies and especially pet hair (ya got a cat or a house dog? i have a long haired miniture dachound and i have to clear his hair (i cant believe he still has hair after cleaning that blower) at least once a season) as for running the blower on 9 . the blower speed has absolutely no effect on speeding up the feed rate, none at all they are two seperate things altogether.

Tha'ts what I thought...

I tore the whole unit out and cleaned it, just a little dust.

That is what I was thinking ;)

Opps! Sorry Trapper! I guess I was totally wrong about the air on setting!
