I have a Breckwell P22I insert which was readied for winter several weeks ago. A gasket was replaced as well. After the 6th fire up the stove got really hot and the thermodisk tripped. I reset it and and several hours later attempted another fire in the stove, again it got very hot and the disk tripped again, in addition there was the very strong smell of pellet smoke. Is the thermodisk faulty? Would appreciate any help on this, and resources for pellets in the Finger Lakes region of NY. Thank you.

For Pellets in the Finger Lakes region, you might want to check out InstantHeat pellets, made out in Addison NY. Last I knew they were ~$225 a ton if you purchase direct from the plant.

you might want to be sure the stove is fully cleaned and make sure the room air blower is working
see the help files in the yellow sticky pages listed at the top of the pellet room.
if the blower is dirty it might not be turning fast enough to keep the stove cool.

Yes, the blower did come on but it was low. Thank you on the heads up about Instant Heat...where is Addison, NY?

I'd check to see that your exhaust vent is clear, first, then see why your combustion fan is running slow. Then worry about where to get more pellets, no point in getting more pellets if your stove doesn't burn, or if you burn down your house. My $0.03 1/2
