My Lopi Yankee stove has 3 mode/lights Manual, Auto and Remote. I have the wireless Thermostat from Travis and that uses the Auto mode. According to the manual the Remote light is for a Modulating Remote. A Google search says this is a remote thermostat that would adjust the flame/heat size depending on various things. Has anyone ever installed one in a Travis stove? Where would it connect? The connectors for the thermostat seem only on/off. Travis seems to sell modulating remotes for gas stoves but nothing about compatible with Pellet stoves. I figure since I am unhappy with Travis's remote thermostat, that if I choose to replace it, it might be nice to be able to control the heat settings with it as well.

Started to look into this option too. Had Yankee stove installed in August. Want a wireless remote. Where did you get info that Yankee requires "modulating remote"?

I HAVE NEVER sold a travis remote so I dont know much about it.

The only remote option they are showing in the current options are the NON Modualting remote

My dealer gave me one with the stove. I have not used it. There are pluses and minuses to this IMO. I guess they sell for about $200. I wish I got that off the stove instead.
