The left side tubes blow much hotter air than the right, it seems to split right down the middle. Has anyone else with this stove noticed this? or any other stove for that matter?

This happens at at any setting, the right side will get hotter but always stay substantially cooler than the left side. There is nothing separating the left and right side tubes on the inside or outside.

Using 3 inch Simpson Duravent with 4 ' of vertical rise on the outside.
Using Fresh outdoor air
I have checked the door and ash pan gaskets, and with an uneducated eye they seem fine.
This stove is brand new and has been running for about a week.

I don't know if I can offer insight or not but I can tell you that my Napoleon does the exact same thing...the left side is hotter than the right. My install is a 3" Duravent horizontal vent with no OAK. I'd recommend the stove to anyone but like you I'm curious if this a design of Naploeon's or what.
 
Yep.. mine too... Have only burned three bags and was just noticing this last night...

I installed the NPS40 myself... 3in Selkirk into a 6in Clay flue.. lined with a 4in Stainless liner & outdoor air...

I was thinking it was something to do with the outside air coming in on that side...
 
On mine, the the left side (when looking at the stove - the door hinge side) is slightly hotter, but not by much. Probably would not have noticed the difference. Maybe has something to do with the vortex? Mine was DIY, vented out and up 3', outside air. Really happy with it so far.
 
3 in outside air??? How does that work 3 in hose down to the 2in inlet on the stove?
 
Sorry for the confusion: The exhaust vent goes straight out the wall and then up 3 feet to a cap. AND I have a normal outside ait kit installed.
 
Same with mine. Did speak with a dealer who also noted the same situation. Didn't have an explanation. I don't really think it has any real bearing on performance, but then I am not an engineer. Seems the flame goes straight up so airflow shouldn't be a concern. Might be interesting to record the temps with a thermometer, then write to Napoleon.
 
well im glad to see I am not the only one with this issue. I think I will contact my dealer and see what is up. Thank you all for your posts.
 
Newbie here, I noticed the same with mine after reading the posts. Also has anyone had a problem with you combustion blower? Mine seems to be really whiny all of a sudden. I have burn about 20-25 bags thru it and now it is much louder than it was and it is not constant. It will whine for a while and then stop and start up again 20 minutes later. Any help would be great.

I noticed this the first time I ran the stove, but it ranks pretty low on my list of frustration surrounding this stove. Glad to know its not just mine though. I would argue that it does affect performance as I am only getting hot air out of half the holes the others are just warm. I have to believe the stove would heat better if I was getting hot air out of every vent, and my stove doesn't seem to heat well. The heat difference is pretty big on mine. On the left side, facing the stove, its hot enough you dont want to keep your hand near it, but on the right its just warm.
 
I have not heard anything weird with the fan yet, but I did notice that the gasket around the door is not in very good shape. Specifically where the rope comes together on the ends in the corner. it is kind of frayed and does not connect very well. My dealer is going to order a new gasket and I am hopeful that it will take care of this issue and also help with the rapid dirtying of the glass.
 
i am currently in the process of getting my exhaust blower replaced, after 15 bags it got very high pitched and i didnt like the sound at all , bearings might be gone im sure. love that 5 yr warr!
 
I have he same issue with the gasket around the door, but mine seems to seal fine. It is like the did not cut the gastek properly and the ends are fraying like rope. I too have heard a squealing noise, but that it was air whistling through the pellets when the stove is lighting. It seems t go away once the fire gets going. Maybe I should pay closer attention.

I read your warranty, 1 year electrical, they will supply the part, no labor.
 
I too had the high pitch whining noise, came and went, on and on, now seems to be gone. I do hear a noise that seems to be more than the fan. Not bad, now don't notice it much. Just turn up the radio a little. Has anyone cleaned out the fan? Manual says to clean it out after two tons, and need to get a gasket kit.
