Wish I found you guys months ago

I agree. This is a great forum of good people who seem to get along. I was having fits with my pellet stove and someone was kind enough to help me diagnose the problem. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars to repair, I was able to narrow the problem to a $25 switch. I am in KY and my main issue is finding pellets. My local Lowes has sold them the past three years and I'm hoping they continue to do so.

You can find plenty of details here regarding the news story you spoke of. Lots of upset folks. If you have any questions regarding your stoves, there are lots of experts here. I know, because this site is habit forming ;-)

I agree this is one of the best forum on the Internet, nice people no war on words, everyone here is always helpful.

I agree with the above. The help and information is great. The expertise from the stove pro's on here is the best. Free help from the pro's...can't beat that. Much better than reading reviews submitted on retail sights.

Just so we know we have useful information easy to find.

Did you visit the help pages on the yellow Sticky pages at the top of the pellet room?

or did you do a search and dig through 100's of post?

agreed, great forum. I found this site last September after purchasing a house with a Pellet Stove and no idea what it was or how it worked. Just about all of my 1st season issues were solved in these forums by people who couldn't be nicer.

Kentucky ???????? Do you even need heat living in Kentucky? ;-P

The sticky's are a great primer, and I recommend then as a read through. They certainly help put things into a whiter light.

Right now I am looking out the window at my Palm tree, and not kidding, certain kinds of Palms will make it through the winter with some protection when they are young and develope into some nice trees I have on that was planted in the ground over seven years ago and is now about 12 feet tall. But it does get old here, some winters are worse than others, but not as harsh as up north. Last Feb. we had a tornado when the Temp went into the 70's less than a half mile from my home I only had minor damage, but the people up the street not so lucky. The last few days around here has been cool, now raining off and on. When we have several inches of snow, the State just shuts down. So yes we do need heat here in the Bluegrass state. Right now the Temp is around 53 degrees, but this weekend they are talking about maybe a little bit of snow flakes.

So yes KY does need heat.

You have have it made in Kentucky. You can watch your stove burn while viewing palm trees and drinking Whiskey. Up north they can eat lobsters while enjoying their stove. Just below my in MD they have Maryland Blue crabs Yumm! All we have in PA is a bell.

Nah it's bourbon in Kentucky ;-) We thought about getting a couple of palms too but decided against it after walking too close to one at a neighbors house.....The tips of the frawns(SP) were like needles :shut:
