The feeling never goes away!

It's 4:30 in the afternoon, I rush home from work just to check my storage tank temp. and I ponder, fire or no fire after about 2 minutes of going back and forth, I crack a beer and light one (a fire that is ) I hope that fuzzy feeling never goes away.

I do exactly what Kipster does. My wife asked me why the knees on my sweats were dirty... I had to tell her... I was peeking.

ive got three of them im watching right now and i kind of like it. the only problem is the two that arent mine seem to be working better. its all good

Between the boiler and "hearth" its hard to convince the wife that this is a good addiction to have.

Woodmaster 4400 for 2.5 years and I love her as much as the day she was new.

Inside warm and nagging wife
Outside cold and woodboiler

I've been heating with wood in Maine exclusively, no backup, for 30 years.
I still get that warm, fuzzy feeling everytime I look at my firewood stacked and covered in their neat little racks and I will until they pry the last stick out of my cold, dead fingers.

(Hmmm... that sounds familiar.)

just tell your wife you could be sittin at the bar instead.

She would throw me out and run the EKO herself....I taught her how.. dumb huh

yeah, and 'though I risk getting us all sent to the Ash Can, in light of the ways that the "status-quo-ers" have sent the whole free market into a tailspin, I'd like to toss a CEO or two into the firebox of a gasifier....

I make my living in the warm weather. So why am I waiting for the next cold snap to hit so I can see what she'll (gasifier) will do this year?? I don't have my wireless temp gauge hooked up yet, so I am using my kids play binoculars and peek through the blinds to see what the boiler temp is up to. Then I check the hearth forum to see what the guys are talking about (this hour). Repeat. Repeat.
