I have a napoleon 1400 PL (Picture Bellow) the blower pulls air from the bottom of the stove up the back and across the top. The problem is, I get my stove up and firing the stack temp is good then I turn on the blower and it drops the stack temp down by about 200 degrees into the creosote developing zone. Now my thermometer is about 12 inches above the stove right on the stack pipe. The fire doesn't diminish so how can I be creating creosote. The other problem I have is that the blower stays on pretty much all the time even though it has a thermostat. The instruction said to have the themostat touching the stove. But I am wondering is I should pull it off the stove a little so that it will only kick on once the stove is good and hot and can maintain temp even though the fan is blowing.
