Most of us have been preparing all summer. Checking, rechecking, on forums nightly tweaking our stoves to perfection.

Pellet stove pad-check
3 tons of pellets-check

I'm Ready!

Luvly Jubbly
cant wait. look out at all that snow while sitting next to my warm toasty stove.

Hit 61 today (low is projected to be 53) and same forcast for tomorrow. Not supposed to hit freezing until next week here in central CT. Much as I like having a nice fire in the stove and really want to watch the oilman try to figure out why he can't get more than 50 gallons into the tank...I prefer not spending money for either pellets or oil :)

No snow in the forecast for me yet but I'll
be yelling cha-ching when it gets here since I do
snowplowing on the side for some extra cash.

Jeep & plow ready to rock-n-roll
9 HP Snowblower - ready
Stove is cleaned and ready
3 1/2 tons of pellets stacked in garage
Oil tank full
Generator ready if needed

I live a half hour from Syracuse....like everybody else in the Northeast I was ready in late August.

No snow predicted as of yet, but I am ready

Snowblower tuned up- check
Gas cans full- check
Stove clean and runnin- check
Generator ready- check

4 ton of pellets in the basement- check.
Hmmm, actually I already used 20 bags so far, so....maybe I need
to run out and get more ;-)

You're in Mass, you probably won't get quite as cold.

I'm not ready...I'm never ready. I hate snow...I live in the wrong damn state lol

I hated snow and winter until I got a sled (ski-doo) to bomb around the field and occasionally take it to the local state park.

I am waiting to see how the stove performs on a -10 degree night!!! brrrr.

LOL...I hear you. I went to college at SUNY Oswego, so I understand where your coming from...LOL We had 56" of snow in 3 days the first winter I was there.

Thanks for the heads up. It's still quite warm here in southeastern CT, but I'm ready for everything I can be ready for. Just tuned the snow blower and generator, cleaned the stove, have 150 gals of HHO, about 10 gals of gas, 5 tons of pellets, fridge and pantry's full of food, plenty of shotgun shells, and just walked the dogs. Did I miss anything? LOL.

Installed my stove yesterday,1 ton of pellets in the basement,3/4 of a tank of oil,Let the games begin.

Where's the pics of the install??? No pics = it really didn't happen! LOL

BTW, it gets pretty cold in Bangor, I imagine. You sure 1 ton will get you through the winter? How big an area you heating?

Sorry no pictures yet.No I dont think one ton will do me the winter but they will get me going.Im hoping pellet prices will go back down to the 204 that i paid in july when supplys get caught up.My house is 1100 square feet.So im thinking maybe 2 more tons.

I am thinking of putting up my mulching mower and putting the snow blower on the firing line Monday. May or may not see snow this week.
