The manual doesn’t seem to tell what buttons to push ? mine does not have a trim button only on/off and heat level and the instructions says to adjust on the motherboard? but I don.'t see any way to adjust there other than the pins for thermostat does anybody know how to do this thanks

Is this what your control panel looks like?

Yeah it doesn’t make sense that it doesn’t give you that option, I have to have my MINI on a slower auger trim on low so it doesn’t overflow and smother the fire. Sounds like they want you to mess with the damper and airflow to the unit, that could be a pain since not all pellets burn the same and you could find yourself constantly adjusting.

I would like turn up the auger setting on low temp as the fire just about goes out.

You say the fire just about goes out, so I assume it doesn't actually go out? In my experience, I've assumed the low setting on the empress is basically for use with the Hi/Low setting on a thermostat. You would not want it to burn very high, as you basically just be wasting pellets when the house is up to temperature. In addition, the stove burns much better (cleaner) at higher settings, particularly 3 & above. If it is warm enough outside that my stove is going to run for extended periods on low, I usually turn it off. That said, I have only had the stove shut down on low twice in the time I've had the stove. If it is not actually going out on low, I'd assume it is behaving normally.

The control panel on my Empress FS has no marking for auger trim either BUT I was able to set it by pushing on the top right of the control panel where the button is shown in the manual( I could feel the button toggle underneath). I know that it changed because if I set it on #1, the #1 and #5 lights are both on and the auger on time extends from 3 sec to 4 sec.
I don't know why the panel doesn't match the owners manual but at least on my stove it is there.
