What do you use? What have you found that is needed. My better half bought me a weber grilling glove that has worn out and I need to purchase a new glove, either local or internet. What are your recommendations all.

Thanks

I would recommend anything comfortable to you that's 100% leather.

X2 on the welder's gloves. Readily available, heavy leather, long gauntlet, reasonably priced, durable. Rick

Go to Harbor Frieght or Northern and get some cheep welders gloves. I got a 3 pack of gloves for $12.00, and gave one pair to a coworker that has a woodstove. Jeff

Actually, I don't use a glove very often, but I have gloves with my tools at both stoves. Poked a hole and added a little loop of heavy leather boot lace so I can hang 'em on the tool holders. When I do need one, it's mighty nice to have it right there. Rick

I have a nice pair of welders gloves but the wife thinks they ruin the aesthetics and keeps hiding them on me so I just burn my hands repeatedly.

Bears in CT,

I would suggest the LONGEST welders gloves you can find. Or feel you need.

My forearms appreciate it!

Yes, long ones like those and longer! Nice color! Can you see them in the flames?

The reason I prefer longer, is that my skin does not grow back as fast, as it did in the past! ;>)

Usually not many flames while I am putting wood on!
I think they look like Santa Claus gloves.
In this case I would be Mrs. Claus though.
No, I am not keen on burning flesh either! Could really ruin an evening.

We use a pair of old leather work gloves. They work but are a bit short, so we'll be looking at welders gloves. Great idea.

I use Lincoln Electric welder's gloves from the Home Despot. $15 or so. Placing wood by hand is so much better than using a log grabber. Anyway, I regularly stick my hands in a very hot firebox with these things with absolutely no problem. Think I'll buy another pair to stash in reserve. All the best!

Welder's gloves.

Second that!!

I have long gloves past the forearm. And sometimes still get burned.

Ouch ;-P

I have long welder's gloves but don't use them as often as I probably should. I remember them when I smell the burnt forearm hair. By then it's too late to bother. lol
