I'm still very new at burning pellets, and need to leave for a couple of days. Will it hurt anything if I let my stove (P61A) run out of pellets while I'm away. I have oil heat that would then kick on.

Main thing is no pellets + no heat. The stove should shut all the way down once it cools.
That is what the back up is for (oil).

In the Harman owners manual it suggests running out of fuel is the best way to shut off stove. Also if there is no fuel you can take a look at augers, bin, etc.
