What do you find in the morning? A Pot full of unburnt fuel? Does it ignite no problems in the morning?

The marketing dept. must have thought that one up! In combination with the customer service and warranty dept!.
The shop that sold this to you should fix it. It is doubtful that you are doing anything wrong. Start with a phone call and see if there are any easy resets or adjustments you can make. Then simply ask them to come out.
It should run virtually 100% though the night. Unplanned shut down should be extremely rare......funny thing......I used to almost expect this back in 1994-95 when pellet stoves first came around. We burned a few models at the shop and it was quite normal to come in first thing in the morning and find them out. But since that time I have not heard much about it. You can bet we'd have reports on this forum if it was normal in any way.

hey pyro extrodinaire, i certainly didn't come here to get abused by you but thanks anyway.
the stove shuts down and there is no fuel in the firepot and the remote seems to have turned itself off.
i should clarify by saying that this is being run with the remote thermostat in the "on" setting but not in the "Thermo ON" setting. I called the dealer and they asked me to turn the remote receiver (black box which hangs off stove) into the on position. i tried this and the unit ran through the night and all day today. dealer thinks that the remote is defective.

bobm, make sure the handheld is close to the stove. If it is too far away the receiver wont be able to find it and as safty feature it shuts down after 2 hours. The normal range is like 10-15 ft. Try putting the remote right next to the stove in the "ON" setting and see if it runs all night. We have seen some remotes that are defective and have a very short range. Swapping out the whole kit has fixed this in the past.

I agree I set my remote over 20 ft away and my stove turned off its now hang on the wall about 15 foot away from stove and works great.
thank you all for your input. it appears the remote is defective. it won't even turn the stove on ay longer. i have had two occasions where it appears that the pellets have hung up in the hopper. any suggestions with that one?

yes they got caught and didn't slide down to the area where the auger is. i will post a new message with the results of the nuisance shutdown problem

I have read of various solutions to this on the forums (the pellets sticking). I have heard of people buffing the inside of the hopper with fine stainless steel. I cannot remember the other things people were suggesting.
