What do you do with the wood pallets after the pellets are gone? I'm thinking about making a composting bin out of them in the spring. Any ideas?

Moe

My dealer buys 'em back for $3.00 each.

Put them out on the front lawn with a "FREE" sign and usually it takes about 24 hrs for a log burner to swing by and scoop them up for starter wood.

Burnt them in our outdoor fire pit this past summer, with permit of course. LOL

I'm going to double pallet next year's delivery of pellets.

I put them out on the sidewalk and someone always
snags em. Woodburning people I assume?

Moe,

Pallets as a compost bin work great... that's what I did last year and this spring I'll build another one to go right next to the old one. There's lot of different design out there to use, but I used hook and eye latches to attach mine together so that I could easily take it apart and turn the compost. I'll probably use a more sophisticated design next year just to try it out.

Good luck!

I keep some for the summer firepit, and give the rest to woodburning buddies.

I cut mine up and use them for camp fires when we go summer camping. Better than buying fire wood. They burn great.

sell, burn, or give away. Pallets cost money anywhere from $5 to $15 depending on quality and shape.

Pelletize them of course! na kidding I may use them to park my old sleds on to keep them off the ground?

Stack firewood on 'em until they start to fall apart - then I burn 'em in the wood stove. I'ts like a free load of kindling with every ton of pellets.
