I had a service guy look at my stove two weeks ago as it just didn't seem to be working right and he decided the combustion fan was weak so he ordered a new one. A few days later the convection fan starts to grind some so I called the service guy and he added that to the order. It was all supposed to be in in a week, but as with everything surrounding this stove nothing has gone as planned. Yesterday I lost the ability to control the convection fan. It appears to be stuck on high so I guess it cant damage anything, but still its stuck. Acording to the manual its either a faulty control or a faulty override sensor. I pulled the purple wire of the sensor located above the combustion fan and still had no fan control. If I am reading the diagrams correct that is the 160F sensor and the problem is in the switch. Can sombody tell me if that is right? I will call the tech in the a.m. and add another part to the list to be replaced. I am starting to think I just need a new stove. These are pretty simple appliances there really isn't that much to break. There are only really three major moving parts and I need to replace two of them, and now I have electrical gremlins which is never good. This project has been a disaster from the beginning, and for the money I jave laid out I would expect A LOT more. My dealer is out of business so the service guy works for a dealer I didn't use.
 
i am starting to feel the same way with my nps40, got it from onitor of maine in bangor. its not my dealers fault but i have gone through 2 exhaust blower motors already, and the auto fan sensor is bricked, ordered it, waiting again for service.

i attribute the motors to the pellets but some of these stoves had alot of overspry in the inside electronics and had to be checked prior to setup/install. and then there was the smaller than normal lighter hole in the pot.

im at 2 strikes next one your out
 
I had the problem with the burn pot as well, and I also noticed the overspray inside the unit, there is also lose sealant in the hopper. I am waiting for replacement of both fans and now have a bad control. As I stated I am not very happy with the unit. I dont blame the dealer for the quality, though he is out of business for a reason, and the new place is running wide open with service calls so not having bought my stove from them I dont expect to be first in line, but they had no spares so now I am waiting for them to get parts while the stove falls apart. Lemon comes to mind.
