It would be a better snow mover if I had a rear blade for the PTO. It's not hard to take the backhoe off and put something else on. Moving snow with the loader is tedious, because I can't just shove it to the side like I could with angled blade. But it's fun! :coolsmile: Rick

Yeah, it's 4WD. A rear blade doesn't have to be pushed backward to be effective. It can be swung front-facing and set on an angle and it'll do the job, even though it's in the wake of the tires. A guy I know has a rear blade swung rear-facing at an angle, and he'll move snow both directions...with the loader going forward and with the blade going backward. I just need to find a 48" rear blade and get it on there and give it a try. (Same thing I said last year :red: ) Rick

The loader's as easy to take off as the backhoe, but to mount either a blade or a blower on the front end I'd need to buy another attachment gizmo and then the implement. Cheaper to do the rear blade thing.

If you really wanna move snow get yourself a PTO driven snow blower. Rear blades on a light tractor like that can be a pain in the arse. I've got a 70hp International and it's marginal for for the rear blade in heavy snow and it probably weighs 5x what yours does (angled rear blade shoves the arse of the tractor over). I keep threatening my self to get a 3pt PTO driven snow blower but it's so much easier to pull that lever on the floor of my truck and go about my business.
