I start my Empress and it shuts down 2 light on

Hi all this place has been great for me to learn about my stove.

I think I might know the answer but wanted some feedback. About 5 days ago I took my back walls off and vaccumed out cleaned the t out and the hooper too. I had burned about 1 ton and wanted to check it out. Looked good put it back and let it burn for a couple of days. Now when I start it up it starts fan comes on and shuts down 2 light blinks. If I turn it on and off it will eventually start.

I think it is the vaccum line. So I need to pull it back apart? Can someone tell me the best way to clean it out.

Thanks for the quick reply. It is about 60 out today will pull of apart later. Going to take my Harley for a spin

weatherman said it may hit 70 Sunday. this weather is nuts it was 20 two days ago.

If you trace it back to the vacuum switch you should be able to wiggle the hose off and blow the tube out from the switch side toward the firebox....

Just wondering where exactly is the vaccum switch? I have looked in the manuel and did not see it in the diagram. Thanks

any help finding the vaccum switch? Do I need to pull the side cover off? Thanks.

Maybe you could help me just a little more with this Vacuum line. Can you tell me exactly where to look or even show me a pic? My stove will not start up it comes on then the #2 light blinks. After turning on and off a few times it fires up and works great. I want to clean out the vaccum line...but I am not sure where it is.

That second blinking light is code. The heat limit switch needs to be reset. I took off my surround and its in the upper right hand corner of the stove. The technical manual has an illustration showing you the location. You can always look on their website. They also have the manuals.

Sorry Obie that for the inserts, not the FS. For my FS the 2nd code is the Vacuum line. Also I would assume if the Heat Limit switch the stove would not re start until it had been reset.

ok guys I took the inside of the stove apart and cleaned it out and it did the same thing. The next thing I am going to try is to pull the side cover and see if I can check the vacuum switch. It is nuts because the stove starts up fine after 3 or 4 times. Any other ideas.

Just because I wanted to make sure I contacted Enviro to see what they said. Wow the response was fast. 20 mins tops!

(Good morning David, You have a plugged vacuum hose barb, if you locate the vacuum sensor with the red silicone hose attached to it just remove the hose from the "L" port and blow through it to clear the bloggage at the hose barb, hook the hose back up to the "L" port and press your start button and away you go.)
