Hi I have a Country C260 or C310 insert. It is about 5 years old and now is made by Lennox. I was just wondering what people who have these run temperature wise (stovetop) on these? What temperature for these is considering overfiring? Thanks!

Mine cruises about 450. I've had it up to 550+ but it's just cooks us out of that side of the house. Not sure how accurate that is, because I just have an old oven thermometer on my stovetop. I love my Country, I'm surprised more people don't have them on this board.

I owned the Lopi Freedom bay. Not sure which # but it was a big one over 3CF. I eventually discovered that 800 is the overfire temp. Our normal temps were up to about 650 and down to the 400s as measured by the rutland on top. Nothing wrong with a LOPI. I never liked the controls since they were noisy and squeaky since they needed lube and a good cleaning but also the way they were designed. The fan was noisy too. Last I heard they were quite expensive which may explain how quickly it sold on craigslist. I swapped the insert and the chimney out for a freestander instead.
