I have nothing to compare them to - only pellets I could get. They are a lot better than not having any and they were cheap $205/Ton.

I am using Warm Front. I have beeb using Dry Creek for the last few years. Got the Warm Front for 205.00 a tom delivered to the house, 4 tons.

I too burn Blazer pellets and have been very happy with them. This is only my second season burning, so my experience is limited, but last year I purchased pellets in 5 bag increments in order to try different brands and I have settled on the Blazers. So when HD had them for $199 a ton back in September I stocked up for the winter.

The only pellets I like better, but only slightly, are Bear Mountain Forest Products' Golden Fire. The Golden Fire burn a little cleaner, but also cost about 10% more.

FYI, for you east coasters, these are soft wood pellets made mostly from Douglas Fir and/or Cedar.

first year I could only get eureka pellets lots of ash and fines cant remember the heat output last two years penningtons good heat med ash some fines this year lignetic west virginia hardwood low ash little fines but know where near the heat from west oregon wood products blazzers low ash high heat and very little fines best pellets Ive used so far

I had some Blazers a few years ago...had to clean the glass and burn pot daily. Do not recommend. I recommend Golden Fire and Atlas/Country Pine, although Country Pine is not as good as the Atlas(CP is made by Atlas...allegedly)

i am using somerset hardwood pellets made in somerset,ky. have not heard much about these pellets they burn very well, heat output in great with very little ash.

works for me !!

I've gone through 1 1/2 tons of Fireside Ultra pellets so far this year. I'm impressed with the heat output, but disappointed with their quality control. I've had three auger jams from pieces of wood mixed in with the pellets. The first jam shut down my stove resulting in a service call to the dealer. That cost me $130. The service tech showed me how to remove the auger to free the 1 1/2" piece of jammed wood. Since that 1st jam, it has happened 2 more times. I burned 5 tons last year without any jams. Fireside Ultra's manufacturing process should be monitored better.

The 5 tons that I burned last year were a different brand. (mostly Greene Team purchased from Lowes) I went to Home Depot concerning the quality problem with the Firesides, but they said that there was nothing that they could do.

(Still waiting for the firewood to run out before my significant other will install the pellet stove - I am getting to like the wood stove - especially during the ice storm - except for the fact that we don't get an overnight burn. We have 4 tons of Freedom Fuel and I have no idea of how they burn!)

After experimenting with several brands,I have had the best results with Golden Fire.

burnt 2 ton of the series one athens pellets. yes there was alot of ash,the fire only went out a couple of times caused by bridging, and heat was medium...no jams or mechanical issues with my harman P38

now burning series 2 of the athens pellets. still alot of ash, but more uniform pellets,a little lighter in color, and seem to give a better heat. still no jams or mechanical issues in my harman

as far as fines...maybe a 1/4 to 1/3 cup to a bag that i have noticed on both series...i dont know if this is bad or good

I use GranulesLG - been very happy - very very low ash content. I see Pellet sales.com carries them (I got them from my stove dealer)

Bought two tons of Clean Fire pellets off of pelletsales.com, they have a July production date, and heat output is pretty weak. Hottest side of the stove struggles to get to 350* now where it used to get to 450* with Nature's Heat pellets before. The plus side is that the Clean Fire pellets are... pretty clean. Low ash.

Ihave not been that impressed with the Clean Fire pellets either. Sure they are very clean, ie. virtually no fines, but they produce plenty of 'clinkers', have average to above ash, and are extremely hard which produces its own problems.

I have mixed them with LG pellets in a 3:1 ratio and have improved results, but PelletSales' "Quality Certified" is a bunch of marketing to me. If you don't know, Clean Fires ARE Pelletsales' brand of pellet. I would not buy them again

Been burning (if you could call it that) Athens Maine Woods Pellets. Bought 3 tons and have about 1.5 tons left. I now empty my ash vac with the same frequency that i used to empty my ash pan. These pellets are the worst I have burned in the 8 years I have been burning pellets. I am about to take the 1.5 tons i have left and leave them at the place I bought them in the middle of the night...so they will have to move them to open the door. They will make better door stops then wood pellets for stoves. Horse bedding yes...pellet stoves no!
