Looking to purchase an insert.....Hampton HI300 in Enamel Brown

I really like mine. It easily heats my 2300sqft two story house-no problem. My house is also new so that probably helps too. How big is your house and what is the floor plan like?

I have it in flat black- 16-1800 sf log home. It heats the whole place OK- would be better if it was less drafty in my house. Inserts are less efficient than freestanding stoves, but mine does great. Another brand to look at would be Regency- similar design, less frills- I don't think they offer the finish that you want.

You should be good then depending on insulation.

I got the wood insert Hampton HI 300 in the Enamel Brown in October and I love it!
The blower comes on automatically after 30 minutes and the front glass design keeps my wife happy to ;-)

I use the Hampton I3100's sibling - Regency I2400 to heat my home. 1500 sq.ft for the top 2 levels that I'm heating, R-38 insulation in ceiling, but close to 0 insulation on the sides and floor. Moderately leaky windows. I'm able to heat the place to 70 degree avg running about 24 splits for a 1 day cycle burning 24/7 with outside temp around 20/22.

Fairly new to the HI300 (installed last week). The first two day/nights I took it easy to break it in. Since then, burning 24x7. Load at 7am, 2pm, 10pm. The first 15 minutes burn wide open and then shut her down and enjoy the heat until the next cycle.

House is 2000sq ft colonial. The downstairs is basically two separate large areas (kitchen/family room and the other side is LR/DR all seperated by a center hallway).

The kitchen/family room is averaging 74 degrees and the LR/DR is around 68.

The upstairs has 4 BR’s all off the center hallway. The center hallway (top of the stairs) is about 68 degrees and the BR’s average about 62 to 65.

These readings are on the high end side of the burn cycle. They will fall a few degrees towards the end of the burn cycle.

I’m getting all this and there’s still room for improvement for efficiency. I need to block off damper and add insulation in the flue/liner. This will have to wait until spring.

Can’t say enough about this stove for heating and it looks great as well.

Hampton and Regency are made by the same company, Fireplace Products International. The HI300 series is essentially the same stove (internally) as the Regency I2400M
