I dont think a craigs list add is a trend down. If those pellets are Maine Woods Pellets there not worth $100/ton anyway... Every retail outlet I have been in all winter has pellets at $280 - 320 per ton and that hasn't changed yet.

I think there is an impending crash in pellet prices on the way. They are way overpriced now IMO. For a pellet stove to be a viable option with sub $2 oil pellets need to be way less the $300 a ton to be worth the effort. Both pellets stove prices and pellet prices this season are out of control. A drop off in demand is going to cause an adjustment in pricing next year. I pre-ordered my hamers for this years season last march at $175/ton, to give you a sense of the jup prices have taken..

TRUE! I dont plan on buying a ton, just a handful of bags here and there to get through, so I havent bothered
replying to see what brand they are.

Maybe I will for giggles, and report back.
