There have been many threads about these factory defaults and adjustments and most people who do make adjustments to these settings tend to bump up the low air form 4 to 5, Has anyone actually gone lower on the low air burn? Does it help to burn longer and keep fly ash form going up the stack?

I set the low feed rate, low air according to the pellets I am using at the time to get the best temp at the lowest feed rate. So setting your low air down to prolong burn time, not so sure how efficient that would even be.

I do likewise, all depends on the pellets, smaller ones feed faster. I currently have mine set at 4-6-1

trying 5-3-1 at the moment with beasty boys "crankin" Wife is pissed............ were is that pellet stove fairy in black? bet she is still at macmans!

drinkin brass monkeys while the pellet stove pumps!!!

not , actually enjoying a wee dram of John Jameson savoring it and a Steeler win.

as for the 6-4-1 default, we set the stove up in a "middle range' with the LFF and LBA, most pellets will burn acceptably in that setup, some pellets tend to feed faster due to size and length and adjusting the LFF down a bit settles the stove down to a reasonable low burn rate. longer flues and longer horizontals benefit by a higher LBA setting to move more air.

Hey MIke, ok LBA will go up a notch I have noticed more ash, No kidding I was cranking "Brass Monkey" no kidding, but just fried the left channel on the old Kenwood origanal purchase from 1984 no kidding with Chemical Brothers crankin what a way to go after 25 years, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAPPPPP,
