I work at one of the walmarts and I hear there trying to get the forest pride recalled, We haven't sold very many price is to high. First I heard of pennington being recalled. I am burning last years pennington pellets they burn good in my qudrafire castile pellet stove.Lots of fines in the bags. People are buying at HD and Costco also CVS and over a buck less a bag. We have our pellets covered with traps but still out in the weather.

This is the same situation I brought up in another thread about pellets I purchased at Lowe's. I got 1/2 ton of Clean Energy that had been stored outside under a roof in their Garden Department. You could sense there was some moisture in the bottom 1/2 of the pallet. I am steering clear of any other pellets that I see stored this way!
They definitely have not burned as well as the Turman's that I bought from a dealer here on The Shore!

Picked up several bags of these. They appear to be very clean, high heat and low ash. I was wondering are these hardwood pellets or softwood? They smell like pine. I read they are a made from the same company as Lignetics.

Very happy with the Lignectics I bought last Nov. I've noticed they are not the same as the lignectics though. What are the differences? Anyone know?

That really isn't going to happen... I've trucked hundreds of loads of bagged product that is stacked on pallets... pet food, oil dry, animal food (pellets), etc. It's simply not a problem.
 
I like em! they burn clean and hot I am heading down to Wally world and gonna get me some more, I was able to set my low fuel feed and air feed down a notch on these Forest Gump pellets and got good heat out of em!
 
I have burned a half ton of the Forest Pride and the heat output is very good with average ash. I have expeienced a large clinker brick in the burn pot after a few days of burning. They will heat the house but you may have to deal with the clinker problem. They are from Walmart and were stored outside and had much ice throughout the pallet. I just broke the ice from the bags and stored them in the garage. I wouldn't hesitate to burn more of them. I just started burning some spruce pointe pellets and I would highly recommend these due to the high heat and the very low ash output.
 
Spruce Point ok, if I can find them I will try em, the Forest Pride pellets I purchased were under cover and dry, I even did a 50/50 mix with my penningtons (I have good penningtons) and that burned good as well, So were does one find Spruce Point Pellets and were is Durham Maine?
 
I got the spruce point pellets at a store called Mardens up here in Maine. They have locations in sanford and biddeford which would be the closest to you in NH. Durham is just north of Freeport or about 40 minutes from portland.
 
Have burned at least 30 bags of Forest's Pride bought at Walmart. Stored inside at the Keene store. They produce a lot of heat and have very little ash. Fines pretty much non existant in all bags. Have had no problems at all with clinkers and the burnpot stays fairly clean when burning these. I purchase them whenever I find them as well as Blazer brand which works just as well. Not happy at all with Fireside or Penningtons.
 
Been using these since I saw them at Walmarts this past year..LOVE'em..been praising them since I used my 1st bag..low ash..it seems like a hardwood because ash is not fluffy..alsoit burns hotter and cleaner than ANYTHING..and I've tried a whole lot..good luck
 
From what i have heard they are a good pellet, where as the penningtons i have heard mixed reviews. From what i have heard there are two different grades of penningtons, one which was good, one that wasnt. I am burning LG's and loving them cause there is barely any ash
 
Forest Pride are the BEST pellets that we have used. Pennington pellets we have found have a lot of fines in the bags and the Corinth pellets produce too much ash and caused are stove to make a high pitched squealing noise. Does anyone know if there is a place that you can order these by the ton? because with it being the end of the season Walmart is unable to order them and will soon be deleted from their system until just before the beginning of next season??? The pellet stove is our primary source of heat and we are trying to get a jump on next season..
 
who knows..maybe next season a new batch of pellets that Walmart NEVER carried will outshine the Forrest Pride's...just like this year...Last years pellets were my VERY LAST RESORT(which they don't carry anymore thank god)..this year they were my 1st
 
Yes, but here in Maine we still have another 2 months of cold weather and pellets are getting to be hard to find......
It would be nice if they were carried year round. Maine there are only 5 months where you don't use tour heat....
 
So who sells Forest Pride by the ton or two to three tons in NH?

I got a few bags to test a couple of weeks ago at Home Depot. I like the way they burned, very fine ash and NO clinkers.

i have tried MANY types of pellets, and forest pride is a great pellet. BUT where can they be bought/obtained here in central ny state other than walmart. I realize they were bagged forest pride for walmart, but i am sure that they are else where and even with another name.
 
Forest pride brand are made at the Atlas plant just a few miles from my house. A couple of years ago Atlas moved and the Lignetics plant produced pellets for Atlas during the move. I've seen Forest Pride, Northwest Pride and Atlas brand all produced at the Atlas plant. Each brand had a different mix of pine and red fir. I liked the Northwest Pride, a 50/50 mix best of all.
