Tough to tell. Looks like it could be a couple of different things. Fire cherry, or birch are my first two thoughts
 
What color is the heart wood? And does it have any significant odor? I am still thinking fire cherry as the bark looks like a bronzish reddish color in those pics.
 
The hearth of the wood is blonde to darn near white. I'm assuming it isn't seasoned at all as well. I'm out of wood and this is what I have, going to have to scramble and find somebody with some decent wood.
 
I've seen diseased Poplar get that orange colour.
