CASTILE INSERT QUDARAFIRE - GLASS

YES it is special, it is actually ceramic to withstand the heat. You're easiest route will be to find the part at a Quad stove dealer, not sure where you are at. You may be able to get a piece cut to size at a shop also, but it MUST be ceramic stove 'glass'. The manual for the stove lists the part number, you can DL that at Quadrafire's website, sorry I don't have it in front of me. May need a new door gasket too while you're at it, I believe they also sell the whole door assembly, 'glass' included, complete too.

The part number is 7001-038 according to my book and i am willing drive about 150 miles to pick it up if any one has one. I am located near Madison, WI. It's cold and my stove is not running.

try going to a local stove dealer that sells quads...ask them for the glass from their floor model and pay them to reorder....
