Any stove dealers work with credit?

Get a credit card.

Or you could just beg for the cash/stove...

Unfortunately it's like the old layaway idea, not many do it anymore. If it's a small store and you know them, they may take a couple payments - especially if you have them do the install? Otherwise, as suggested, maybe a credit card if that's an option. Maybe see if there's anything you can do for them like work around the store? Payments to the store will not build your credit score, as they would not be reporting them to the credit bureaus.

Save for the couple months. Pay cash in the spring. Then maybe you can wheel and deal a little bit.
Cash is KING and it speaks Loud when dealing.

Here in West Virginia, our local Hardman's hardware store, which deals better name stoves, does have financing available. When you look at the tags on their big ticket items there, it will tell you how much per month payments would be. Financing is not totally extinct yet, so it might be worth your while to call around or do a net search and check who else sells stoves in your area and might offer this option. Other places may even issue their own credit cards which might be easy to be qualified for. Good luck!!

Something I have done in the past is get one of those credit card deals with 0% finance for 6 months, pay it down and keep track of the time, then switch it to another 0% finance card before the credit kicks in the other one. A day doesn't go by without me getting some kind of credit card deal in the mail.

i just got 12 mos free financing thru my local stove dealer here in the Hudson Valley - so the option is out there. I went to maybe about 3 local dealers when i got it. I got the financing back in oct - maybe things have changed but i think they are still running it so look around..

some finance companies will offer 6 months same as cash and will work with the stove stores. Long as you pay it off in 6 months no charges if you go over 6 months your screwed lol

I hate to see anyone finance these but if you do, at least find one that is for a time period same as cash deal. I just Googled real fast and found this link immediately and it says they will sell the Blaze King for 12 months same as cash but I didn't go over the web site real good to see if they shipped or not. D/F if you want to build up your credit rating and you have money in the bank...just get a personal loan and pay it off early.

Thanks for that link. I see these guys carry both Buck and BK. I'd be interested to hear how they compare the 91 to the BKK...
