Maybe not.

Aye,

Grandma used to say, "We don't see the world as it is. We see it as we are."

Agreed, and after several weeks in burn ICU and a 6 month hiatus from normal life, I pretty well know what I'm doing.

I'm guessing that you don't look at a hot tub/spa tub the same way I look at a hot tub . . .

If you are talking about the debriding tank, I will have to admit that I was unconscious for most of that. And that was a good thing.

But I still love a real hot tub.

Glad to hear that . . . but sad to know that you no doubt went to Hell and back to get to the point where you are now.

Thanks for the kind words. Burns are the most horrible pain that a human can endure. IF you don't believe me, ask a burn unit nurse. Sorry for the hijack folks, its just that this is a topic that gets personal.

Now back to the regularly scheduled "no it ain't- yes it is"

Honey, garlic, st. john's wort, Neomycin Sulfate, Polymyxin B, Bacitracin Zinc,

All are effective topical antibiotics. Some have been in use for 20,000 years, others for 50.

That is all.

As I type this, I have three burn marks on my right forearm, all of which were received while loading my stove in the last month or so. If you think I'm gonna "seek medical attention" (which translates to: pay for the doctors visit, pay for a prescription, etc.) every time I get an "owie" on my arm, you're nuts. :eek:P

I know when a burn is a minor injury that can be treated with Neosporin (or honey or whatever) and when a burn requires a visit to the emergency room. That's not living by "folk lore"... that's called self-sufficiency and being an informed individual.
